KARELSKY OKATYSH and KOVDOR GOK to put new mills into operation

Karelian Pellet (part of Severstal) and Kovdor GOK (part of EuroChem) are preparing for the installation and commissioning of modernized production mills Uralmash.

KARELSKY OKATYSH (part of SEVERSTAL) and KOVDOR GOK (part of EVROHIM) are preparing the modernized mills manufactured by Uralmashplant to assembly and operation. KARELSKY OKATYSH has the КМД-3000Т2-Д1П-М mill successfully tested. The next stage is performance test. The second mill, delivered in 2016, will be assembled soon. Negotiations of supplying another six machines are in progress.

“We made the secondary crushing mills with 3000mm cone basis diameter for KARELSKY OKATYSH. Construction of the new machine is a bit different: it includes more overall and precise parts; new grades of steel and processing methods are implied” – told V. Makarov, the Uralmashplant subsystem processing deputy shop foreman.

These are the first mills of that type from Uralmashplant. The mills are equipped with the modern IT system which allows building the machines in automated lines to increase the performance. The crushing process is fully atomized.

Modernized mills КСД-2200Гр-ДМ1 and КМД-2200Т1-ДМ1 from Uralmashplant are planning to be assembled by KOVDOR GOK on June, 2016.
